The new Syrian government displayed Turkish Ejder TTZA 6×6 armored vehicles during a military parade in Damascus, marking the model’s first public appearance in the country.
Manufactured by Nurol Makina, the vehicles were shown in multiple units during the ceremony celebrating the fall of the Assad regime, drawing attention due to the lack of any official announcement regarding their transfer.
Weighing 18 tons, the Ejder TTZA can reach up to 110 km/h and has a range of 800 kilometers. The armored vehicle can carry up to ten soldiers, features a reinforced hull and a V-shaped bottom for protection against mines and IEDs, and includes smoke grenade launchers and rear thrusters allowing it to cross water obstacles. Its combination of mobility and durability has already attracted countries such as Georgia and Burkina Faso, and now Syria as well.
The presence of Turkish vehicles highlights a shift in the region’s military supply routes. Even without confirmation from Ankara or Damascus regarding the deal, showcasing them at an official event indicates some form of indirect transfer or external mediation, fueling speculation about new alliances and tactical agreements in the Middle East.
